The butter pecan ice cream here is amazing!!! It's creamy and sweet and salty and nutty. Butter pecan is one of my favorites and they make it in house here and it's one of their specialty recipes, so says the wall art. The house made waffle cone is also delicious. Casual. Indoor seating. Good service. Please come and create your own adventure.
Strolling down King Street, we saw they had butter pecan so we decided to stop in. We opted for a handmade waffle cone with the butter pecan. Some of the best ice cream we've had in a long time. The butter pecan was hands down the best I've tried. The waffle cone also had great flavor, but was a little crunchy/crumbly. We did get the last one of the night, but either way it was delicious. Serving size was generous and service was quick. Definitely worth stopping in.
After dinner we decided to stop for ice cream and came upon Republic Ice Cream. They had a nice selection of ice cream as well as custards and milk shakes. The service and ice cream were both good. The only downside was that Waffle Cones weren't available. However it was understandable as it was late and they were busy.
This ice cream place is a local favorite! I ordered a chocolate chocolate chip cup, and it was super creamy, tasted freshly made, and was served very quickly. Excellent service with a retro decor. Will come back to try more flavors!
This ice cream is very good! The texture was super dense and creamy, gelato-like. You can definitely tell it isn't mass produced. The service was friendly! The flavor selection was broad. I got the cookies and cream which I highly recommend. The smell of the freshly made waffle cones wafting down the street is probably why most people wind up at Republic, it was certainly the case for me!
Very cute diner like interior. Last night was super busy and they were quick and kind with taking orders. The ice cream was creamy and the mint tasted really delicious. Will come back way more!!!
Right off king street, usually busy but we stopped in for a quick treat. Only got one cone to share, it's almost 10$ for one ice cream which I think is wild! Friendly staff, good ice cream but just too expensive.
This place is fantastic - I was on work business in Charleston for a few days and saw this cute ice cream shop close to my hotel. The ice cream is delicious and service is great - I'm not ashamed to say that I've visited two nights in a row! The Vanilla-Chocolate Chip and Chocolate-Chocolate Chip ice creams were so flavorful and creamy. The ice creams have a homemade richness to them, and every bite was so tasty. The waffle cone that I had was also very fresh and flavorful.
The ice cream was so rich and creamy. I could tell it was high quality bc it melted pretty fast. I got cappuccino crunch and chocolate chip and they both were great! I wish they had all flavors on their menu in store though.
